Angel

Angel was found by my neighbour. She was behind their house and in a terrible state. Her ears and head were being eaten by maggots that had been laid there by flies. She was very underweight and quite weak.
We took her to the vets where they cleaned her up and tested her for Leishmania. Unfortunately the test came back positive, so she is now on meds for the condition.
Angel is a beautiful GS mix dog with a lovely gentle temperament.

Her estimated DOB is 01/15.

Jackie

I arrived at the shelter to find a dog tied to one of the trees in the field outside. The dog was petrified and I had to spend many days trying to gain her confidence.

She is still very scared of people she doesn't know. She must have been really badly treated by her 'owners' to be so frightened of everything.
When she knows you she is a really loving, affectionate girl.

Her DOB is approx. 05/15

When I called round to get the dog, he was very frightened and would not go near my friends, but as soon as he saw mw he came running over....what can I say. Anyway Red as I have named him is now at HHC.

Lexi was born in a field with her 3 other siblings. When they reached about 6 weeks old the mother disappeared and a local Greek family fed them. Misty

Another new puppy, found some weeks ago now.
The Date of Birth for Misty is approx. 09.13.
Misty is neutered. Although still a little frightened she is a very loving little girl.

My friend Joan had received a call saying that there was a dog under a wheelie bin in the village of Kalo Horio. It wasn't moving and they thought it might be injured. So off I go to investigate. Turns out it was a very frightened pup. When I got there she came running out to greet me, tail between her legs. Then a car came by and she scooted back under the bin. As the bin was at the side of a busy main road, I couldn't just leave her there as we all know what would happen, so, even though HHC is more than full, I took her with me.

Misty was re-homed by Atlas in October 2017
