With her brother and sister Shona, she was found abandoned at the side of a busy road. They were extremely frightened when first found, but are quite happy to be cuddled and played with now.

JoJo was found running around a very busy intersection in our local city. He is a very friendly boy and shouts until he gets attention from our volunteers He was probably once owned by a shepherd as his ears have been cut. This is not a problem for him but helps to make him look like a cute teddy bear.

Jackie was left tied up outside HH. She was so frightened that we had to leave her tied up there with a kennel for protection until I managed to get close enough to her to be able to bring her inside. This took many days. She is still frightened of people she does not know and will need a very special owner who can help her. She is OK with other dogs so a household with a dog would be best for her. When she knows you she is very loving and affectionate. We call her Jackie as she has the markings of a Jack Russell but has longer legs. She is medium in size.

Red is a med/large size GS mix. He has a very loving, gentle nature. At first when he came to HH he was a very nervous dog but seems to have gotten past that now.
He was abandoned in the village where we live in 2016 and has been with HH ever since.

After treatment, his health is very good now. Nelson is a lovely and very social small dog who is very sweet with humans, dogs and cats.
Beth was abandoned with her sister near a local beach when they were 8 week old puppies. She was brought to the shelter and today is still there. Beth is a very shy girl, needing her time to get to know someone. She might not always get along with other animals.
Clyde and his siblings were born to a stray girl living on the streets. The people that found them kept the mum and we took the pups. Clyde is a lovely boy, a bit shy at first but very affectionate when he knows you. He loves water and just loves to paddle in a paddling pool.
Johnny and his siblings were born to a stray girl living on the streets. The people that found them kept the mum and we took the pups. Johnny is a very sweet boy. Can be a little shy at first bu is so loving and cuddly once he knows you. He is OK with other dogs too.
Chuck and his 2 brothers were abandoned on a local river bed where a friend found them and took them home whilst we tried to find homes for them. Unfortunately this didn’t happen, they became too large to stay in the garden so came to HH where they have been ever since. Chuck is a really affectionate boy, not at all shy, a very confident boy.
